Work for Arcangelo: Development Manager
As we enter Arcangelo’s second decade, we are looking for an outstanding Development Manager to work with our team and board to create an extended, diversified and more engaged platform of financial support for our award-winning ensemble’s exciting artistic and organisational plans.
The Development Manager will work closely with the Arcangelo team and board, including our new board Development sub-committee, to build on Arcangelo’s successful fundraising track record and to capitalise on recent organisational developments including new fundraising tools and resources.
Arcangelo is a project-based organisation presenting six projects per annum, many of them outside of the UK. Focused on concentrated presentations at an elite level, we have historically been primarily dependent on individual giving for financial support. Recent developments have extended our programme’s funding eligibility, notably the creation of our Arcangelo New Ensemblists programme, our growing network of place-based relationships on London City Island, and our developing UK performance schedule. At the same time, the creation of a dedicated board development sub-committee and the commissioning of an upgraded website including a full Enthuse fundraising suite (both Autumn 2021) are set to considerably boost our baseline fundraising capacity.
The new Development Manager role completes our ‘fundraising engine upgrade’. Working collaboratively between the team, development sub-committee and our valuable friends network, the successful candidate will ensure that Arcangelo’s fundraising goals are achieved, and – as importantly – that our supporters are drawn in more closely to our work in return, with more opportunities for richer engagement with our work and projects.
The role is wide-ranging and challenging. We are prepared to wait for the right candidate; as an organisation that champions emerging artists we are also prepared and resourced to support the right candidate to develop in the role with us.
