About this programme

Full of invention, wit and eccentricities – quintessentially baroque – the Trio Sonatas of Buxtehude and Paris Quartets of Telemann are also foundational works of chamber music, standing at the threshold of the genre’s Classical era ‘golden age’. Jonathan Cohen, Sophie Gent, Thomas Dunford and Jonathan Manson have already recorded two critically-acclaimed albums of Buxtehude’s chamber music, and are joined for this programme by flautist Georgia Browne.
