Will Norris announced as new General Manager

Hot off the press

We are delighted to announce the appointment of William (Will) Norris as our next General Manager from 17 July. Will returns to London after three successful years as Managing Director of Toronto’s Tafelmusik, where he consolidated his reputation for innovation gained over several years in the sector with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Will’s many achievements include the pioneering audience development initiative The Night Shift, the student scheme Attitude and collaboration with Shakespeare’s Globe at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, amongst others.

Jonathan Cohen, Founder and Artistic Director, commented “We are looking forward to a new chapter at Arcangelo with the innovative and talented Will Norris at the helm. Will’s experience in creative programming will be ideally suited to seek new and imaginative projects for Arcangelo as we continue to grow and expand our audiences, both here in the UK as well as internationally. I am immensely grateful to Adam Swann for the wonderful work he has done for us over the past four years.”

‘The deliciously light high tenor of Samuel Boden alongside Arcangelo… combining so well to reach the heart of Charpentier’s response to the fall of Jerusalem.’
(Andrew McGregor, BBC Radio 3 Record Review)

‘Another demonstration from Arcangelo of exactly why they maintain so stellar a reputation as one of today’s leading early music ensembles. With contributions from tenor Sam Boden and baritone Stéphane Degout, directed by Jonathan Cohen – Conductor, this exquisite programme of sacred music by Charpentier is a major addition to the discography of the French Baroque.’
