Lachrimae tour with Anna Prohaska: “Vividly engaging solo cantatas”

We write to you half way through our tour of 17th century music with acclaimed soprano Anna Prohaska, which was at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at the Globe theatre in London on Sunday night.

So far we have played sold-out concerts at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, the Salzburg Festival, and on the river Spree in Berlin, and the Globe. Tonight we are playing at the Rheingau Festival near Frankfurt, also sold-out, and then Torroella in Spain and Thun in Switzerland.

We have had some super audience comments, including : “An exquisitely atmospheric concert by Anna Prohaska & Arcangelo in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse this evening”.

“Magical performance by Arcangelo and Anna Prohaska at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse! Some real gems there, especially Merula and Strozzi”.

“Wonderfully rich recital by Anna Prohaska and Arcangelo delved in the dark side of the baroque, delightful”.

We are thrilled at this news and would like to thank our generous patrons who supported this project.  Many congratulations to all the Arcangelo players and choir, and to our soloists Ida Falk Winland, Lydia Teuscher, Tim Mead, Samuel Boden, and Neal Davies.
